THE NEXT SEMI-ANNUAL BULK WASTE COLLECTION IS SCHEDULED FOR
Fall 2022 Bulk Waste Curbside Collection scheduled for Friday, October 14, 2022
-
- In an effort to improve bulk waste collection, the Town is utilizing an electronic bulk waste request form. Please have your items out and submit this form by Wednesday, October 12 at 2 p.m.
· Bulk waste can include all large items including televisions, mattresses, and yard/vegetative debris.
· Yard and vegetative debris must be bagged or CLEARLY tied into bundles of four (4) foot lengths or less weighing NO MORE than 50 pounds each. Waste Management does not use a truck with a mechanical arm and, therefore, the bundle MUST be manageable for a single person to handle.
· Vegetative debris left in piles WILL NOT be collected.
The Westside nature trial along the Osprey Pond is closed due to bank erosion. Closed signs are posted in the affected sections.

Subject: Duck Trail
Good morning:
Fred Smith Company will begin working on the Duck Trail project beginning tomorrow. Our engineer is working with him to ensure he has a good traffic control plan as they do their work. They will begin with the demolition of the existing asphalt walkway and then install the new concrete and permeable concrete path. Per the contract, they have a maximum of 60 days to complete their work.
To refresh your memory, this from a recent staff report about this project:
This project involves the removal and reconstruction of 707 linear feet of permeable concrete and 313 linear feet of conventional concrete for the Duck Trail shared use path between Oyster Catcher Lane and the previously completed section south of Blue Heron Lane. The project also involves the creation of shallow “V” roadside swales on either side of the trail, where feasible, to provide positive drainage away from the path and road surface.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,
Drew
